Build and use ELK in 30 min ?
A friend needs to start using ELK, so this demo to build and use ELK in 30min. I will use GCP because I got some free credits there. Thanks to GCP generosity ! You can use any clouds you like.
1/ Go to GCP marketplace, search ELK or Elastic (you can any image you like, e.g. Google Click to Deploy containers on Kubernetes). I will keep it simple and use “ELK Certified by Bitnami” (Estimated costs: $24.75/month ! So cheap ! Less than my daily cup of Starbucks !)
2/ Click “Launch” button above, then wait ~10min max., you will see the deployed ELK VM and Kibana access url/uid/password, etc. details.
3/ You can start logging in your ELK Kibana at http://SERVER-IP/elk/app/kibana . There are 3 very easy to learn data samples and dashboards. Or connect to your own logs and create a new index.
